The mural and Fils Journey in honour of Makha Diop (1958- 2020) is a social cultural break though of a reality we live in the city of Barcelona where the integration and welcoming of an entire community is ignored and rejected as the neglect became normalised.
We aimed to celebrate the rich culture, virtues, trades and stories the African community contributes to our multicultural city by painting a mural (c/Ramelleres 8, Raval) in honour of Makha Diop and a week of cultural activities.
